Summer is around the corner and I know many of you started planning on all the local places you should go to. If Pangasinan is on your radar, I’ve some tips on what to wear, pack, and some sights to see if you only have 2 days 1 night trip with your friends.
Yes, you can do just an overnight trip probably on a weekend without spending too much. We left at midnight and arrived in Bolinao at around 5:00 am. We’ve nowhere to go since we cannot check in yet because it’s too freakin’ early. What we did was we hired a tricycle to get us around for the whole day (We’re a total of 6 so we divided ourselves into two groups) After visiting two attractions, we checked in, chilled and rest for a little, then continued the tour in the afternoon.
Bolinao Falls 1 – We were the only group here when we arrived so we enjoyed our stay here. I recommend going here first as you can have the falls all by yourselves.
Bolinao Falls 2 – It’s larger but not as remarkable as Bolinao Falls 1. Also, there are too many people so we did not bother to stay longer. It’s still worth visiting tho.
Patar Rock Formation – You shouldn’t miss this as I think this is what makes Bolinao unique. We just paid 20 pesos for the entrance.
Lighthouse – Worth a visit as well and take photos for your Gram
Patar beach – It used to be beautiful, uncrowded, and unspoiled when I went here last 2012 but I am disappointed to see what it became after a few years 🙁
WHAT TO PACK FOR YOUR BOLINAO OVERNIGHT TRIP
It’s an overnight trip, so try to limit yourself in bringing just 1 backpack and a camera bag. You’re going to places where you can swim and can get wet so it shouldn’t be so hard to think of clothes to bring with you . Choose the ones that are light and easy to pack.
Here’s what I bought with me:
2-3 tassel shorts
1 bathing suit
2-3 tank tops and cropped tops
Of course toiletries and your usual summer kit.
