Sunnies and Style - How to write your first blog post

It’s easy to get overwhelmed with options and choices on what you should write first on your blog. I get it. It can be daunting, especially if you’re a newbie blogger.

Launching a blog is the first step, once you’ve completed setting up the technical side of your blog site, you have to turn your attention to the STAR of your website, your CONTENT. Most people who are new to blogging encounter these two roadblocks:

1) what to write about

2) how to write their first blog post

I get that not everyone is an experienced writer. You have to understand that to be good at something you need to PRACTICE.

Today, I will share with you tips on how to write your first blog post and create a kickass content that will generate traffic.

Now if you have already settled with the topic you will write about, let’s get down to business. Your blog content consists of three parts.

INTRODUCTION

A good blog post starts with an intro. It doesn’t have to be that long. Just make sure you get to the point. Limit the intro to 1-3 paragraphs only. Maybe start with a question or present the problem that you think your audience is experiencing. Set them up and urge them to go proceed with the next part of your post which is the…

BODY

This part is the CORE of your content. It is where you give the much-needed depth and detail of the topic you have chosen to blog about.

You can either do a number or bullet-type of post then make a description or explain further what you each number of bullet means. If it’s a tutorial, you can try listing down step-by-step direction.

Add photos or videos if you can. This will make the whole post a bit less boring. Imagine if you can only read all text and you are accessing the site thru your phone, right?

CONCLUSION/LAST WORDS

Just summarize or make a round-up of all the things you have discussed. Always add a Call To Action (CTA) before you end your post.

A call to action is an invitation for your audience to take some desired action typically taking the form of instruction. Some of the common examples of your typical call to action in blogs are: comment below to share your thoughts, follow me on social media, click and get this for free.

Here are some other things you need to consider and take note while you are writing your blog post:

There you have it. I hope this will make you more confident in writing your very first blog post. If you have any questions, comment down below!
